Things To Consider Before Booking Your Summer Rental

1.      The Week You Plan on Visiting
It is important to remember when planning your vacation that rentals run Saturday to Saturday. You also need to keep in mind that certain weeks are going to book up much faster than others and that prices will vary throughout the summer. For example, early June is less crowded since many schools are still in session, thus making weekly rentals cheaper. You may also want to plan around popular holidays such as the 4th of July or Ocean City’s Annual Night In Venice parade. Some vacationers choose to visit because of these events, while other try their best to avoid the hustle and bustle. Our ‘Rentals’ page makes it easy for vacationers to select a specific week they would like to book.

2.      Preferred Location
We have a large selection of properties with the hopes of suiting everyone’s needs! The North end of the island is where you will find the boardwalk and most of Ocean City’s most popular attractions. If you go all the way North, you will find yourself in the Gardens, which offers a wide variety of beautiful and unique homes that differ slightly from the rest of the island. Then there are those who prefer the South end, which typically consists  of a quieter atmosphere. Of course, you also have bay or beach options, offering you endless possibilities. You can select from a specific location dropdown list on our ‘Rentals’ page.

3.      Proximity to the Beach or Boardwalk
Tying into #2, it is important to think about your vacation rental’s accessibility to the beach and boardwalk. While the price of your rental may be higher the closer you are to these areas, the price tag is often worth the convenience and views. Families with small children then have shorter traveling distances to both day and evening events.

4.      Necessary Guest Accommodations
Before you even begin your vacation rental search, try to lock down the number of guests in your party and how many rooms you will need. This will help you find a match much faster. Many of our rentals have rooms with numerous bunk beds to sleep plenty of your family and friends. Also, consider how many bathrooms your party will require. Rentals suited for large parties can make for the perfect family reunion, making everyone feel included and in the center of the action.

5.      Budget
Do you have a max budget? You can search properties by budget to help narrow down your results. Prices depend on season, week, location, size and amenities. When trying to fit within a budget, make a list of your vacation rental must have’s! Some people need that upper deck with beautiful views, while others may require an outside shower to wash off the ever-present sand.
